More Than a Meal: Nourishing Our Community at Elgin Eats

At Elgin Eats, we believe that everyone deserves a hot, nutritious meal, served with kindness and respect. We are a community of churches, ministries, local residents, and businesses who have come together to ensure no one in Elgin goes hungry.

We understand that life can be challenging, whether due to a busy schedule or a tight budget. That's why we're here to provide thoughtfully prepared meals designed to nourish both body and soul.

How to Get a Meal: Simply drive or walk up to the Mount Moriah BC Parking Lot (701 S. Main St., Elgin, TX) during our service hours. Our dedicated team will be ready to serve you with a smile.

Tuesdays (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM): Join us for our delicious to-go meals, perfect for enjoying later. You can expect options like fresh sandwiches, hot dogs, and hamburgers, always with a side and a sweet treat.

Fridays (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM): End your week with a hearty, comforting meal crafted to warm your heart.

Every week, we serve over 525 meals to our neighbors, and with your support, we hope to grow that number even more. Elgin Eats is more than a meal service; it’s about building connections and fostering a supportive, compassionate community.

Elgin Eats Calendar
Tuesday Meal Service
Every Tuesday, we serve 145 simple but hearty meals—sandwiches, hot dogs, and hamburgers—providing reliable nutrition to our community. These quick, accessible meals ensure families never have to choose between hunger and other needs.

Your $15 monthly gift covers an entire Tuesday of service.
​
From busy parents to seniors on fixed incomes, our Tuesday meals offer dignity and nourishment when it's needed most. Help us keep serving these essential meals that strengthen our community one Tuesday at a time.

Friday Meal Service
Fridays bring our community together for 400 hot, complete meals served at Mount Moriah BC. Families, seniors, and individuals gather for more than food—they find fellowship, hope, and the warmth of belonging.

Your $40 monthly donation provides food for 10 households every Friday.
​
These aren't just meals; they're moments of connection where neighbors become family. With fresh ingredients, complete nutrition, and Christ's love in every plate, Friday meals transform lives and build community bonds that last all week.

Meal Delivery Service
When community members can't come to us, we bring nourishment to them. Our 80 weekly meal deliveries reach homebound seniors, families without transportation, and those facing mobility challenges.

Your $20 monthly gift sponsors 5 home-delivered meals each week.
​
Door-to-door service means no one is forgotten. Our volunteers don't just deliver food—they deliver smiles, check on neighbors, and ensure everyone knows they matter. These deliveries bridge gaps and build connections throughout Elgin.
